Huda

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 1, 2025
We built Huda to respect your privacy. This policy explains exactly what we collect and why.

Information We Collect

Huda does not collect any personally identifiable information. The app may access your device's location data solely for the Qiblah compass feature. This data is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Quran bookmarks and reading preferences are stored locally on your device and are not synced or uploaded.

How We Use Your Information

  • Location data is used exclusively to determine the Qiblah direction relative to your current position. It is never stored or shared.
  • Local bookmarks are used to save your reading progress and preferences within the app.
  • Firebase Analytics collects anonymous usage data such as app opens, feature usage, and crash reports to help us improve the app experience.

Third-Party Services

This app uses the following third-party services that may collect data according to their own privacy policies:

Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no personal data to retain. Anonymous analytics data collected by Firebase is managed according to Google's data retention policies. Local data on your device persists until you clear the app data or uninstall the app.

Children's Privacy

Huda is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the app does not require account creation and does not collect personally identifiable information, children can safely use the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
